This years first Meiko 2011 golf day at Long Reef golf club didn't seem to have a promising start when the day before a freak storm seemed to put a damper on the day. But in the end the heavens were kind and it became a great day for golf.

The course looked amazing, located right on the cliff faces over looking the ocean at Collaroy. Besides the fantastic views there were many other highlights. The breakfast was exceptional to start the days proceeding off. The former Australian Long Drive champion Mark Bylsma was hitting monster drives on the par 5.

We had our BMW hole in one prize being a blue 125i convertible which nobody won. A special mention to one of our very own staff who on the very next hole hit a hole in one which happened to be a par 4...nice one Jimmy!

After the round was over we all headed into the dining area for drinks and a chat. Flare catering at Long Reef is renowned for their food and on this day they did not let us down. During the dinner our entertainment for the night Matt Hollywood went around amazing table to table. He then performed a 30 minute show which was nothing but mind blowing.

Our live auction and charity hole proved again to be very lucrative raising much needed funds for Rotary Australia and a thankyou to all those who contributed towards this.

A congratulations go to the winners of a joint team comprising of two from Meiko and two from the Sydney showgrounds. We look forward to catching up with all our clients at next years annual golf day and for all those winners and runners up we will see you very soon.

I would also like to acknowledge all the kind emails and phone calls  we have had from our golf attendants congratulating us on the events. We thank you for that and hope we can continue to make each event bigger and better than the last.
