This year's second round took place in Queensland at the beautiful Sanctuary Cove Golf course. The course which is rivaling some of the best golf courses in Australia, has just been redesigned in April 2011. And one has to say, they did a great job! The course is just picturesque and designed to challenge the players of all abilities.

It was a beautiful location linked with a spectacular event which promised for a great day, which it definitely was!

After an amazing lunch and short introduction by Lawrence Hickey and Toby Jensen it was time to head down for the Long Drive demonstration. All groups then proceeded to their shotgun tees.

As like the week before with our Sydney event, everyone had the chance to win a brand new convertible BMW 125i. First group of the day almost won it but unfortunately nobody drove it home. Besides the hole in one prize we had other challenges to test each players skills. The Australian Long drive champion Brendan Moylan who is heading to Las Vegas next week to test himself against the rest of the world was hitting massive drives on the par 5, which was very impressive.

We had this years charity hole once again for Rotary Australia which raised very good money and a special thanks to those players who dug deep and bet $100 for a shot. We also had the live auction which also helped the Rotary cause significantly.

At the dinner we were entertained by the hilarious comedian/magician Warren. His old school magic with his quick tongue made him very entertaining indeed.

Congratulations to this years winners from the team at Suncity. It was a great day at a great venue and we look forward to the next Queensland event!

I would also like to acknowledge all the kind emails and phone calls  we have had from our golf attendants congratulating us on the events. We thank you for that and hope we can continue to make each event bigger and better than the last.
