The third and last Meiko Corporate Golf day took place at Sandhurst Golf course in Melbourne. This course proved to be a challenge for sure. The rough was playing extremely difficult and the greens were very fast.

The home of the PGA Australia welcomed us with a diversified and challenging course and despite some light showers in the morning we were blessed with good weather.

After a rich BBQ Lunch and a warm welcome from our MD Mr Shane Campbell it was time to get started.

As before in Sydney and Queensland there were many highlights:

This year’s Melbourne hole in one prize was a brand new BMW X3 which unfortunately nobody won it. I would like to to say a special thanks again to John Cantle and the BMW team for providing the car for this day.

Besides the BMW challenge everybody got the chance to mess with the long drive champion Damien Powell. The inside the circle challenge and the auction at the end of the evening raised a generous amount for Rotary Australia and even topped the amounts of Sydney and Queensland.

After the game we enjoyed some drinks in the beautiful function room and the terrace. The dinner was delicious and everybody enjoyed it. A special mention needs to go to the whole team of Sandhurst Golf course who really did a terrific job!

Our entertainer for the evening was again Matt Hollywood and he even topped his performance in Sydney and the audience was convulsing with laughter. A special thanks has to be mentioned to Meiko's Vince Zammit who almost stole the show from Matt.

Congratulations to our winners and runners up of Melbourne who will now join the teams of Sydney and Queensland at a destination to be announced soon.

I would also like to acknowledge all the kind emails and phone calls  we have had from our golf attendants congratulating us on the events. We thank you for that and hope we can continue to make each event bigger and better than the last.
